A 2023 census by the American Immigration Council found that immigrants make up 14.3% of the entire U.S. population–that's almost 47 million people. In the workforce, the organization noted that 1 out of every 4 immigrants are entrepreneurs,. Additionally experts concluded immigrants paid nearly $652 billion in federal, state, & local taxes in the 2023 fiscal year–making up 14.8% of total taxes paid that year.
